KahlWax 6290 Berry is a pale wax derived from berry fruit peels of the Rhus Verniciflua tree that consists of a high amount of glycerol ester of C16-18 fatty acid. Because a significant part of it melts at temperatures < 30 °C, it feels very silky and soft, comparable to a classic emollient. In addition, KahlWax 6290 Berry produces very soft textures and improves the sensory characteristics of O/W emulsions. It is an excellent additive for oleogels, suitable for lip gloss formulations and mascaras, and works as an outstanding pay-off enhancer in lipsticks. Although it is soft, KahlWax 6290 Berry improves break resistance in pencil preparations.

KahlWax 6614 Tea is a dark olive colored, soft wax obtained from green and black tea leaves of the species Camelia Sinensis in an environmentally friendly, solvent-free process. It is ideal for emulsions due to its moderate melting temperature and therefore enables energy-saving production temperatures. Furthermore, KahlWax 6614 Tea can be used in stick preparations for lip balms or lipsticks and adds a pleasant scent to the formulation.

KahlWax 6279L Myrica is derived from berry fruit peels of the Myrica Pubescens tree native in Latin America. The wax is very unique as it has no double bounds and is rather a naturally “hydrogenated” oil but solid. Due to its chemical structure it is very stable against oxidation. Very untypical is the low melting point combined with an exceptional hardness which results in excellent spreadability. KahlWax 6279L Myrica reduces stickiness of O/W emulsions and oleogels, stabilizes stick preparations, and has excellent properties for hair styling products. In combination with fatty alcohols it can also be used in hair conditioners.
