REFINED ANNATTO OIL
Bixa Orellana Seed Oil,Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil
Annatto oil has an unique color due to the high levels of two reddish compounds: carotenoids and bixin. Carotenoids, important liposoluble pigments, are mainly responsible for the intense red color of annatto oil, which has about 6 times more carotenoids than carrots. Bixin, an organic and natural chemical substance, has a highly red color, and is the main compound of annatto with a coloring effect. Its color also acts actively on the antioxidant activity of annatto, protecting cells from oxidative damage from free radicals and thus ensuring the protection of skin tissue. Studies indicate that, among the entire chemical composition of annatto, 5% represent active dyes, among which, more than 80% are due to the presence of bixin. The fatty acids composition mainly composed of oleic and linoleic acids, which guarantees a high emollient power, generating excellent moisturizing properties and, as they are unsaturated, guarantees a fast and complete absorption. Other compounds, associated with the action of annatto before and after insect bites, also give the oil a natural calming, soothing property.
Annatto Oil is most often dedicated to sun care, being applied in sunscreens, lotions or tanning oils, it is also indicated in the production of products aimed at treating mature skin and combating premature aging, such as serums, skin lotions and tonics. And, due to its natural calming power, it can be applied to hair products in general, as well as cosmetics dedicated to baby care, such as massage oils. The pigmenting effect of the oil makes it also applicable in the cosmetic pigments sector, mainly in the production of make-up.

COPAIBA OIL
Copaifera officinalis resin
Copaiba oil, derived from the resin of the Copaifera tree, offers a multitude of benefits in the skincare industry. It is well know and widely used for it's skin health and well-being applications.
The benefits of Copaiba Oil can be attributed to its composition. Copaiba oil is rich in sesquiterpenes (volatile fraction) and diterpenes (resinous fraction). The antiinflammatory activity was attributed to hydrocarbons and sesquiterpenes.
The most important sesquiterpene in the composition of the oil is β-caryophyllene, the active ingredient responsible for the distinctive aroma, and is the compound capable of modulating inflammatory processes, reducing inflammation, in addition to promoting a feeling of relaxation. This sensation is similar to that of the active cannabidiol, found in the Cannabis sativa species, which binds to the cannabinoid receptor, causing dependence. However, β-caryophyllene is able to exert psycho-mimetic effects, treating, relaxing and causing a feeling of well-being, acting on the central nervous system (CB-1), without binding to the cannabinoid receptor, that is, without causing dependency.
Commercially sold copaiba oil resins are a thick, clear liquid with a color ranging from pale yellow to light golden brown to dark brown with unmistakable woody and smooth aroma.
