LITHENE™ ULTRA N4-9000 is a viscous, narrow molecular weight liquid polybutadiene with a low content of 1,2 vinyl microstructure. It is characterized by extremely low odor and volatiles and is primarily used as a polyurethane additive to enhance abrasion resistance. Typical applications include automotive sound damping sealants and adhesives, as well as dry sand binders.
LITHENE™ ULTRA N4-5000-10MA is a viscous, low molecular weight liquid polybutadiene, adducted with 10 parts maleic anhydride. It is characterized by very low odor and volatiles, making it suitable for specialized applications such as soft, isocyanate-free electrical encapsulants and rubber-to-metal bonding.
Synthomer CV 3534 can be used as a vulcanization curative, and as part of a formulated vulcanization system with other co-curatives and additives, for the curing of NBR latex systems.
The required quantity of Synthomer CV 3534 in the curative blend will depend on the application and should be first determined on a laboratory scale by the user prior to any scale up. A recommended ratio is 18 parts wet per 100 parts dry polymer for a tough polymer film, and 9 parts wet per 100 parts dry polymer for a flexible polymer film.
LITEX™ N XA 1739 is used as a binder for technical papers (e.g. gaskets) and was tailored for a beater addition process. The main advantages of LITEX™ N XA 1739 are an excellent sealability, high solvent resistance and superior flexibility. Optimum properties are obtained with a zinc oxide cure system, details are available from Synthomer. Compatibility with other chemicals of LITEX™ N XA 1739 is good especially with acrylics, polyurethane and many resins. Nevertheless we recommend testing stability in each case.
