Resydrol AY 6150w/45WA is designed for the production of air-drying, waterborne 1 pack topcoats and monolayers. Paints based on this resin show quick drying, high gloss and corrosion protection, good adhesion on various substrates and very good recoatability at any time. With Resydrol AY 6150w/45WA, we can also formulate multipurpose primers. Such paints show high built and mild odour. Resydrol AY 6150w/45WA can also be used as sole binder or in combination with dispersions for the formulation of wood stains, primers and paints.

PC-1644 DEFOAMER

PC-1644 DEFOAMER is a 40 % solution of an acrylic polymer in a petroleum solvent. It was developed to offer improved defoaming performance versus PC-1244 in non-aqueous organic fluids. PC-1644 is a general purpose defoamer which offers superior foam control at low use levels, generally 10 to 20 % lower use level versus PC-1244. PC-1644 is silicone-free and exhibits very low odor. PC-1644 defoamer applications include usage in gear oils, specialty lubricants, and shock absorber, hydraulic, turbine or transmission oils. Typical use levels of the solutions range from 50 - 500 ppm (20 - 200 ppm active polymer). The optimum level is dependent upon the nature of the oil and it is therefore necessary to run a concentration profile for each oil. The defoamer is most typically employed at 200 - 250 ppm of solution (80 - 100 ppm active polymer).

DAOTAN VTW 6463/36WA

DAOTAN VTW 6463/36WA is a solvent-free acrylated polyurethane dispersion with very good wetting properties, quick curing to give clear crack-free films. Daotan VTW 6463 is stable to applied shear forces and has good pigment compatibility. Cured films show good abrasion resistance and have good resistance to household detergents. This polyurethane emulsion was designed to formulate coating systems for various plastics such as ABS, PA, rigid PVC, flexible PVC and PMMA. Aqueous primers and base coats can be formulated. The adhesion to any plastic substrate to be coated should be carefully examined firstly.

RESYDROL VAL 5547W

RESYDROL VAL 5547W has excellent penetration properties and can be diluted with water without prior addition of neutralising agents. We recommend the addition of Resydrol VAL 5547w into water, in order to avoid the reaching of a viscosity maximum by diluting the other way round. In quick drying painting materials based on, for example Resydrol VAY 6278w, addition of Resydrol VAL 5547w will result in an optimization of brushability and wet edge time. However, the compatibility has to be carefully checked in every individual case and the added amounts should not exceed 15 %. Resydrol VAL 5547w (calculated on solid resin). Additions of Resydrol VAL 5547w may increase the yellowing. As sole binder Resydrol VAL 5547w can be used in wood impregnations. The incorporation of biocides like ADDITOL VXW 6370 is possible. Furthermore Resydrol VAL 5547w can be used as dispersing agent for waterborne systems, as resin for pigment pastes for waterborne and solventborne systems and as carrier for biocides for the wood protection. Since Resydrol VAL 5547w is oxidatively drying the active components will be fixated in the wood cells, so there is no danger of washing out of the active ingredients as it may happen for example in emulsifier containing systems. Resydrol VAL 5547w shows very good pigment wetting properties and is uneffected under shear. Water emulsifiable driers such as ADDITOL VXW 4940, ADDITOL VXW 4952 or VXW 6206 can be used with Resydrol VAL 5547w.
