CASTOR OIL

CASTOR OIL is a vegetable oil pressed from castor beans. It is a colourless to very pale yellow liquid with a distinct taste and odor. Its boiling point is 313 °C (595 °F) and its density is 0.961 g/cm3. It includes a mixture of triglycerides in which about 90% of fatty acids are ricinoleates. Key Application: Lubricants, hydraulic and brake fluids, paints, dyes, coatings, inks, cold-resistant plastics, waxes and polishes.

ALBESTER™ 6140 by Synthomer is a carboxyl terminated polyester resin. It has been specifically designed to give a superior exterior durability in 93:7 ratio with TGIC or 95:5 ratio with HAA.

ALBESTER SILKMATT 5900

ALBESTER SILKMATT™ 5900 resin is designed for combination with TGIC in 90:10 ratio. The resulting coatings exhibit excellent exterior durability, flow and mechanical properties, better hardness and solvent resistance compared with 93:7 systems. By physical blending coatings based on ALBESTER SILKMATT™ 5900 resin and ALBESTER SILKMATT™ 5400 resin, matt finishing can be achieved.

ALBESTER™ 5160 is carboxyl-terminated polyester resin. It is suitable for curing with triglycidyl isocyanurates (TGIC) in 93:7 ratio. The resulting coatings of ALBESTER™ 5160 exhibit excellent flow, good flexibility and exterior durability.
