CASTOR OIL is a vegetable oil pressed from castor beans. It is a colourless to very pale yellow liquid with a distinct taste and odor. Its boiling point is 313 °C (595 °F) and its density is 0.961 g/cm3. It includes a mixture of triglycerides in which about 90% of fatty acids are ricinoleates. Key Application: Lubricants, hydraulic and brake fluids, paints, dyes, coatings, inks, cold-resistant plastics, waxes and polishes.

ALBESTER™ 5040 resin is a low reactivity resin designed for combination with TGIC in 93:7 ratio (94:6 ratio is also possible). The resulting coatings exhibit excellent flow, exterior durability and mechanical properties. ALBESTER™ 5040 resin is TMA free.

ALBESTER™ 5040 is carboxyl-terminated polyester resin for exterior use. It is designed for curing in combination with triglycidyl isocyanurates (TGIC) in 93:7 ratio or with ß-HAA in 95:5 ratio. It exhibits superior durability with high gloss. The resulting coatings exhibit excellent reactivity. ALBESTER™ 5040 is suitable for curing with proper acrylic curative to achieve full matt property.
