SETATHANE D 1156 is used as a reactive diluent in combination with e.g SETATHANE D 1145, SETATHANE D 1150 and SETATHANE D 1160 in the formulation of 2-pack PU formulations and coatings to modify physical and mechanical properties.Generally speaking, SETATHANE D 1156 has good compatibility with the solvents listed. However,the solutions formed have to be tested for their storage stability.SETATHANE D 1156 can be thinned with esters, ketones,ether esters and aromatic hydrocarbons.Prolonged storage of a solution with low binder content may result in turbidity and sedimentation. Only PUR grade solvents should be used (< 0.05 % water).The solvent should not contain reactive groups.Because of its low viscosity, SETATHANE D 1156 is especially suitable in combination with SETATHANE D 1145,D 1150 and D 1160 in the formulation of solvent-free,self-leveling polyurethane coatings of low viscosity.

SETALUX DA 450 BA is used as the polyol component in the formulation of fast-drying two-component polyurethane coatings. SETALUX D A 450 BA is suitable for combination with Desmodur® N 75 or to formulate fast-drying two-component polyurethane coatings, e.g. for the industrial furniture finishing. It can also be combined with other SETALUX D A grades to formulate primer surfacers and fast-drying automotive and industrial coatings. With Desmodur HL as the co-reactant, SETALUX D A 450 BA yields extremely fast-drying coatings which are soon dry enough to sand and stack.

SETALUX 1385 BX-51 is used as thermosetting hydroxylated acrylic copolymer for combination with amino resins. good compatibility with cellulose aceto-butyrate resins. Basecoat for wet-on-wet sytems especially automotive topcoats.

VIACRYL SC 166/45BAC is a physically drying acrylic resin with rapid solvent release. It is therefore suited for formulating very fast drying industrial topcoats with high gloss and good adhesion to various metallic substrates. Coatings based on Viacryl SC 166 are nonyellowing and have excellent outdoor durability. In view of its rapid drying properties coatings formulated with Viacryl SC 166 can only be applied by spraying. Compared with Viacryl SC 262 Viacryl SC 166/45BAC has improved compatibility with aerosol blends such as propane / butane. Viacryl SC 262 gives better solvent resistant films.Viacryl SC 166/45BAC is free of aromatic solvents.
