SETATHANE D 1156 is used as a reactive diluent in combination with e.g SETATHANE D 1145, SETATHANE D 1150 and SETATHANE D 1160 in the formulation of 2-pack PU formulations and coatings to modify physical and mechanical properties.Generally speaking, SETATHANE D 1156 has good compatibility with the solvents listed. However,the solutions formed have to be tested for their storage stability.SETATHANE D 1156 can be thinned with esters, ketones,ether esters and aromatic hydrocarbons.Prolonged storage of a solution with low binder content may result in turbidity and sedimentation. Only PUR grade solvents should be used (< 0.05 % water).The solvent should not contain reactive groups.Because of its low viscosity, SETATHANE D 1156 is especially suitable in combination with SETATHANE D 1145,D 1150 and D 1160 in the formulation of solvent-free,self-leveling polyurethane coatings of low viscosity.

SETATHANE D 1150 is applied in the formulation of tough-elastic coatings. It is used in combination with other polyols such as SETATHANE D 1145, 1155 and crosslinked with Desmodur® VL, SETATHANE D 1150 is suitable for use in the formulation of two-component coatings. These are mainly used on concrete and asphalt floors and steel surfaces. After crosslinking and curing of SETATHANE D 1150 with Desmodur VL, the resultant coatings are tough and flexible, hard-wearing and hemicalresistant. It can also be combinedwith Desmodur L to formulate highly resistant sealing compounds.

SETATHANE D 1145 is applied in the formulation of hard and tough coatings and synthetic resin mortars.It is used in combination with other polyols such as SETATHANE D 1150 and crosslinked with Desmodur VL, SETATHANE D 1145 is suitable for use in the formulation of two-component coatings. The main applications are in the construction industry. Curing yields hard to tough but flexible films which are resistant to abrasion and chemicals. SETATHANE D E 2767 is applied in combination with aromatic polyisocyanates based on diphenylmethane diisocyanate as binder for solvent-free two-component polyurethane coatings with high chemical resistance for concrete and other porous substrates, fillers, sealing compounds and synthetic resin mortars. SETATHANE D E 2767 is suitable for the formulation of coatings, mortars and sealers with high chemical resistance. Coatings formulated with SETATHANE D E 2767 generally exhibit outstanding resistance to organic and inorganic acids, alkalis and solvents. Over-cross linking of 50 % and more is usual. This allows a wide-ranging variation in flow and chemical resistance. To ensure blister-free curing, SETATHANE D E 2767 requires the addition of hydrated lime in accordance with DIN EN 12 518 (or cement if necessary) as a CO2 scavenger. In certain cases where the film thickness is less than 100 μm, there is no need to add hydrated lime.
