SYLOID® 244 FP meets the requirements of the monograph for silicon dioxide as stated in the latest USP/NF and Japanese Pharmaceutical Excipients(JPE) editions. The use of fumed silica as an excipient ingredient for pharmaceutical formulations, particularly in tablets and as a carrier for liquids is well known. However, compared with fumed silica, SYLOID® 244 FP silica is larger in particle size and has a higher density. This translates into a product that is much less dusty than fumed and is easier to handle and to incorporate into your formulation.

DRUGCOAT L 100 is a film-forming agent for the gastric resistance coating of oral solid dosage forms. It is weakly acidic, and the film dissolves at a pH above 6.0.
