Schisandra chinensis is a plant native to Korea and China. It is commonly referred to as magnolia, while its fruit is known as magnolia berry or five-flavor fruit. In traditional Korean medicine, Schisandra chinensis is known for its warming properties that promote blood circulation. It has been reported that S. chienesis has many properties such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, skin whitening, anti-aging, anti-allergic, and anti-inflammatory. Additionally, a study reported it as a potential agent for acne therapy against P. acnes and photoaging prevention.

BROMELAIN 10W, also known as pineapple enzyme or pineapple ferment, is extracted from the stem, leaves, and skin of the pineapple. Its main components include mercapto group–containing peroxidase, acid phosphatase, several protease inhibitors, and organic active calcium, with its activity center being the mercapto (–SH) group. Bromelain exhibits strong anti-inflammatory effects and helps reduce skin tanning caused by sun exposure. It acts selectively on aged skin cells, breaking them down to deliver a gentle peeling effect, leaving the skin soft and tender. In addition, bromelain can be used to lighten skin and reduce freckles, making it a versatile ingredient for brightening and skin-renewal formulations.
