grotanol SR 2 is a microbiocidal system cleaner for circulation systems and production plants. High concentrated and free of water. Effective even in very low use-concentrations. Excellent cleaning and microbicidal effect. Broad, balanced spectrum of effect against bacteria, yeasts and moulds. Good immediate effect. Good anticorrosion properties. Low foaming. Usable for all steel, non-ferrous and aluminium alloys. Suitable for low to medium alcalic medium (pH 8 - 11). Contains no organically bound chlorine (has no effect on the AOX value).

This product is a registered biocide that is unlike the typical n-alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (ADBAC) due to its unique saccharinate counterion. Has very limited water solubility (<0.01%) but larger quantities can be solubilized in water with the addition of other surfactants, or any of several solvents (alcohols, glycols, or glycol ethers). Severe metal corrosivity associated with the chloride counterion in traditional biocides, can be avoided with the use of ONYXIDE 3300.

TEGO® 2000 is an amphoteric surfactant for use in biocidal products for terminal disinfectants, sanitizers and detergent sanitizers for all hard surfaces in household and industry. It can be used in aqueous and alcoholic formulations, and it is a special amphoteric compound in aqueous solution.
