BECKOPOX EP 386W/52WA is an internally plasticized solid resin-Type 1-dispersion with improved shear stability, e. g. for water reducible fast drying anticorrosion primers and coatings for plastics. BECKOPOX EP 386W/52WA is an internally plasticized type 1solid epoxy resin as aqueous dispersion. Formulated together with adequate curing agents such as e. g. Beckopox EH 613w or VEH 2188w it is suited for corrosion protection primers with very good adhesion to most metallic substrates. It is also suitable for use in single coat and decorative systems for metallic substrates. For optimium corrosion protection it is recommended using 80 % of the stoichiometric curing agent not contain functional groups capable of reacting with epoxy groups.

BECKOCURE EH 2260W/41WA is an hydrophobic amine hardener especially for the formulation of waterborne metal coatings, free of volatile basic amines and solvents. In combination with epoxy dispersions fast drying Primers and Monocoats with excellent corrosion protection and very good non-sagging properties can be formulated. The product shows excellent application behaviour and a very robust performance even on poorly prepared surfaces. Beckocure EH 2260w is used together with solid epoxy resin dispersions or emulsified liquid resins. Best results are obtained using 50 - 75 % of the stoichiometric amount of hardener. The films cure rapidly at room temperature but can also be dried at elevated temperatures. Grinding of the pigments can be done in Beckocure EH 2260w or as well in shear stable epoxy dispersions (e. g.: Beckopox EP 2384w, Beckopox EP 386, Beckopox EP 387 or Beckopox VEP 2381w). The mill base temperature should not exceed 40 °C. The use of binder-free pigment pastes is recommended when the grinding temperature cannot be controlled. Dilution can be done with Beckocure EH 2260w or an epoxy dispersion.

BECKOPOX EM 460/60IBX is an excellent adhesion to steel and nonferrous metals, high corrosion protection, best recoatability. With polyvinylbutyral for one- and two-component washprimers, weldable shop primers. BECKOPOX EM 460/60IBX is used preferably in combination with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) for the production of wash primers and finish coatings. The ratio of Beckopox EM 460 to PVB should be 1 : 3 to 2 : 1. Wash primers based on this binder combination can be produced both as one-pack and two-pack systems. The solids content of primers based on polyvinyl butyral can be greatly increased by the use of Beckopox EM 460. It also improves adhesion and corrosion protection, especially in wash primers with chromate-free pigmentation. Primers based on the combination of Beckopox EM 460 with PVB cause no complications when overcoated with paints based on alkyd resins drying by oxidation, PVC mixed polymers, nitrocellulose and isocyanate-crosslinking acrylic resins. Even in the case of stoving enamels they cause no discolouration of the topcoat. Two-pack epoxy paints should be tested from case to case. Weldable shop primers Beckopox EM 460 is also suitable for the manufacture of weldable shop primers. In this case the PVB component should predominate in the combination. The effect of these primers on pore formation in the weld is slight, as is the odour problem, since no formaldehyde is given off.

BECKOPOX EP 147W is a non-crystallizing, contains co-reacting emulsifiers. Primers/coatings on mineral and metallic substrates. Adhesives and water-washable jointing-compounds for tiles. BECKOPOX EP 147W is a non-crystallizing Bisphenol A/F liquid epoxy resin containing cross-linkable emulsifiers. Formulations cured with Beckopox EH 613w, EH 623w or EH 659w give hard films with high abrasion resistance, good corrosion protection and chemical resistance. To adjust viscosity a reduction with reactive diluents such as Beckopox EP 075 and EP 080 is possible. Beckopox EP 147w can be formulated together with the solid resin dispersions Beckopox EP 384w or EP 385w to improve their hardness adhesion to porous substrates.
