Luna-PC TAPS, Tetraacetylphytosphingosine(TAPS) is a modified form of phytoshingosine, which is a component found in the lipid layer of the skin and known for:

1. Moisturizing and Repairing the Skin: TAPS functions as a lipid source, contributing to the water-locking barrier of the skin's outer layer, the stratum corneum. This helps to increase the overall ceramide content in the skin, which is crucial for maintaining skin hydration and preventing dehydration. By bolstering the skin's barrier function.
2. Improving Dark Circles: TAPS has been found to inhibit the formation and leakage of capillaries. This action can be beneficial in improving the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.

Luna-PC CeraAP, a Ceramide 6 II, also known as N-acylated sphingolipid, is a ceramide derived from phytosphingosine, a compound naturally found in the skin. This specific ceramide plays a vital role in maintaining skin health and integrity. Its distinctive structure resembles an alpha-hydroxy fatty acid, either saturated or unsaturated, contributing to its unique properties. In the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the skin), Ceramide 6 II constitutes approximately 16% of the total ceramide content in this layer. It is instrumental in reinforcing the skin barrier function, preventing moisture loss, and protecting the skin from external irritants. Luna-PC CeraAP strengthens the skin's lipid barrier, reducing moisture loss and improving the skin's defence against pollutants and irritants. By preventing the deposition and penetration of harmful particles, it helps maintain the integrity of the skin's outermost layer, preventing dehydration and enhancing elasticity. In addition, Ceramide 6 II is particularly suitable for sensitive skin. It is less acidic than alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and gentler on the skin, making it an excellent choice for peeling formulations designed for delicate or reactive skin types.

LITEX™ N XA 1739 is used as a binder for technical papers (e.g. gaskets) and was tailored for a beater addition process.
