Valio Eila™ PRO lactose free whole milk powder instant is produced by spray drying pasteurised cow's milk of Finnish origin, from which lactose is partially removed by filtration and the remaining lactose is enzymatically hydrolysed to glucose and galactose. The product can be used just like instant whole milk powder, provided that the (higher protein content and) caramelising tendency are taken into account. The powder can dissolve quickly and enriched with vitamin D.

Valio's lactose free expertise delivers a lactose free milk powder with high and stable quality and with a lactose level of less than 0.1%. Valio Eila® SWEET WMP is suitable to ready meals providing good taste in applications like sauces, soups, porridges, casseroles. It is also excellent in ice cream, milk chocolate and in various sweet, milk based desserts to provide delicious, enhanced taste alongside lactose free properties. In sweet products Valio Eila® SWEET WMP also enables sugar reduction without compromise in taste or texture.
