Methyl acetoacetate has a Methyl acetoacetate, abbreviated MAA, is a colorless liquid that exists under ambient pH conditions. It is the conjugate of the weak acid methylacetic acid, or acetoacetic acid. MAA is most commonly used as a copromotor for unsaturated polyester resins.
