BOVIDONE® K30 is a freely soluble, hygroscopic powder with high adhesive ability and excellent solubilization properties. It serves as an ideal binder for solid preparations, including wet and dry granulation, direct pressing, and fluidized bed granulation. It is particularly suitable for quick-release and anhydrous preparations, as well as drugs with poor water solubility, water sensitivity, or poor compressibility. BOVIDONE® K30 enhances tablet compressibility, adhesion, and hardness, promoting better drug release. Additionally, it is used as a coating agent to improve drug stability, as a suspension stabilizer for oral liquid formulations, and as a solubilizer to increase the bioavailability of insoluble drugs.
