Hordaflam 70R is a cost-effective, solid 70% chlorinated alkane used as a flame retardant for rubber products such as SBR in conveyor belts and EPDM in roofing and electrical applications. It shows excellent synergy with antimony trioxide and enhances tensile and tear properties in various rubber grades. Hordaflam 70R is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and esters. In petroleum hydrocarbon solvents, it may form cloudy solutions at low temperatures, but the films dry clear.
