JNC have consistently contributed to social development as a pioneer of chemical industry, ever since we were founded in 1906 for expanding renewable energy produced by hydraulic power generation into the electrochemical field and developing functional materials including silicone.
JNC offers a set of unique silicone macromonomers named Silaplane™, which is an advanced reactive polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) product providing a variety of reactive groups and molecular weights, produced in high-volume, high-purity and narrow polydispersity. Applications include silicone-hydrogel material of contact lenses, functional paints/coating agents and highly filled formulations used for thermal management materials.

In recent years, the regulation of PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) has been discussed in Europe.　As Silaplane™ exhibits properties such as water and oil repellency similar to fluorine (F)-containing systems, it is also attracting attention as a potential PFAS-free alternative.
