RX-55 is a multifunctional reactive diluent and epoxy modifier based on Castor Oil. It is typically used with standard liquid epoxy resin to impart flexibility and impact resistance, while reducing viscosity.

RX-7 is chemically C8-C10 alcohol Glycidyl Ether. RX-7 is a mono-functional aliphatic epoxy functional diluent used to reduce the viscosity of epoxy resin systems. The smallest amount necessary of RX-7 should be used to achieve the required viscosity since mono-functional epoxies are polymeric chain terminators. RX-7 has low toxicity and skin sensitivity.

Epotec YDH 184 is diglycidyl ester of hexahydrophthalic anhydride. Due to the cyclic ring of hexahydrophthalic anhydride this resin is expected to give good resistance to ultraviolet light and weathering which is a limitation when it comes to standard bisphenol-A based epoxy resins. This also opens doors for cycloaliphatic epoxy resin epotec YDH 184 for use in outdoor coating applications where it is expected to give better non-yellowing characteristics and chalking resistance. The choice of curing agent also plays an important role in getting better performing formulations.
