Safire® 400 nitrogen-phosphorus fire retardant (FR) technology from Huber Advanced Materials is designed to impart enhanced fire retardancy, smoke suppression and char formation compared with commonly available phosphate products. Huber has applied its fire retardant additive expertise in this novel category to create effective FR solutions for the most demanding applications, including thermoplastics, thermosets and coatings. SB-30 is an unground ATH, commonly known as aluminum hydroxide used to suppress flame and smoke in plastics, rubber and cellulosics.

Kemgard 3001 is a halogen-free smoke suppressant and fire retardant, expertly formulated for PVC applications. Leveraging advanced ammonium octamolybdate (AOM) technology, it offers improved thermal stability, lower water solubility, and cost efficiency, making it ideal for meeting stringent fire safety standards in commercial building materials.

Hydral Coat 8 is a white aluminum trihydroxide Al(OH)3. It is a specially precipitated high-purity white aluminum trihydroxide powder with a brightness value of 99%. It has an extra-fine, uniform median particle size of about 0.8 microns in diameter. Hydral Coat 8 powder is a fully deagglomerated powder.

Hydral Coat 5 is a high-purity, halogen-free aluminum trihydroxide powder with 99% brightness and ultra-fine 0.5-micron particle size. It serves as a low-smoke, flame-retardant filler in thermoset and thermoplastic materials, enhancing arc resistance in electrical plastics and cohesion in adhesives.

Micral 916 is a high-surface-area alumina trihydrate with precise, ultrafine particle distribution, providing a cost-effective, halogen-free flame retardant and smoke suppressant solution for wire insulation, polyolefins, and coatings. It offers excellent suspension, brightness, and adaptable surface modifications.

MOLDX P12 is a non-halogen, optimized ATH product designed for fiberglass reinforced polyester applications such as pultrusion, resin infusion and vacuum bag molding. These molding processes have increased capability when used with MOLDX P12. MOLDX P12 has a narrow particle size distribution that has a small particle top size. This allows all the ATH particles to flow readily throughout the fiberglass reinforcement.

Geotex® FXZ is a high-purity, granular calcium carbonate derived from a high-brightness marble deposit in Georgia, featuring a controlled particle distribution. It serves as a texturizing agent in coatings, plaster, and Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS), functions as an abrasive in various applications, and acts as a filler in PVC flooring. Additionally, its marble crystal structure enhances performance in recirculation drilling fluids.

A unique ground calcium carbonate from a specialty, high purity calcium carbonate and processed at Huber’s plant in Quincy, Illinois. Key advantages include controlled fine particle size distribution, unique ore morphology, low moisture, and nonreportable silica content. Optifil offers reduction of plate out and wear on equipment for operational efficiency.
