Cosphaderm® AP is the lipophilic ester of ascorbic acid and palmitic acid. The palmityl ester possesses improved skin penetration and stability properties compared to ascorbic acid. As an established vitamin C derivative it can be used in skin whitening approaches. The main application of ascorbyl palmitate is to act as a radical scavenger and stop oxidative radical chain reactions or even regenerate depleted antioxidants. By this means, Cosphaderm® AP achieves protection of unsaturated fat and oil components on its own or in synergy with other antioxidants like tocopherols or rosemary extract.

Cosphaderm® Sodium pAS natural is the sodium salt of plant-derived anisic acid. Due to its gentle and pleasant odour, Cosphaderm® Sodium pAS natural can be used as a masking agent to cover undesired odours from other ingredients. Another core property of sodium anisate is the strong antimicrobial efficacy against yeasts and moulds at pH values below 6.0. The big advantage of sodium anisate is its superior water-solubility, which makes this product even easier to incorporate into cosmetic formulations than anisic acid.

Cosphaderm® Sodium LAAS is a white powder comprising the solid mixture of Sodium Levulinate and Sodium Anisate. This blend displays skin conditioning and masking properties, as well as a broad antimicrobial effectiveness. This way, Cosphaderm® Sodium LAAS can help to ensure a formulations microbiological stability without the use of traditional preservatives.

Cosphaderm® SB-75H NON GMO is a COSMOS- and NATRUE-compliant, fractionated and hydrogenated de-oiled soybean lecithin in powdered form with a phosphatidylcholine content exceeding 70%. The hydrogenation of double bonds of the fatty acids provides greater oxidation stability and much better emulsifying and dispersion properties in aqueous media compared to common fractionated lecithin. In addition, Cosphaderm SB-75H NON GMO is a great choice for forming micelles and liposomes since the structure of hydrogenated lecithin facilitates more compact and stable interfaces. Finally, it is an excellent co-emulsifier and emulsifier for both o/w and w/o emulsions, even in cold process formulations, without impacting the formulations color or odor.
