Cosphaderm® T-50 NON GMO ECO is a blend of organic sunflower oil and mixed tocopherols from NON GMO vegetable sources. It contains a minimum total amount of 50% tocopherol with high proportions of beta, gamma and delta isoforms. Mixed tocopherols are widely used as ideal natural antioxidants for protection of oil and fat components susceptible to oxidation.

Cosphaderm® AP is the lipophilic ester of ascorbic acid and palmitic acid. The palmityl ester possesses improved skin penetration and stability properties compared to ascorbic acid. As an established vitamin C derivative it can be used in skin whitening approaches. The main application of ascorbyl palmitate is to act as a radical scavenger and stop oxidative radical chain reactions or even regenerate depleted antioxidants. By this means, Cosphaderm® AP achieves protection of unsaturated fat and oil components on its own or in synergy with other antioxidants like tocopherols or rosemary extract.

Cosphaderm® Absolute is an innovative humectant active blend which improves skin barrier function while simultaneously reducing the water activity of cosmetic formulations. With the three established humectants sodium lactate, betaine and propanediol in optimally balanced concentrations, Cosphaderm Absolute ensures excellent skin hydration. Additionally, lowering water activity and thus limiting water availability to microorganisms allows a reduction of the antimicrobials required for preservation. Thus, the natural blend combines skin barrier-enhancing properties with a unique antimicrobial mode of action, offering the possibility of an innovative, alternative preservation strategy that meets market needs and current trends in the cosmetics industry.

Cosphagard® SA natural is 100% naturally sourced and COSMOS-approved salicylic acid made from natural wintergreen oil by mild fermentation and two-step purification. Salicylic acid has been sourced traditionally from willow trees. Willow bark extract has played a role in traditional herbal medicine in many cultures, and the extract of dried bark is still used as a drug in tea or natural medicine. Salicylic acid is a well-known active and listed Preservative that has been used for its antimicrobial, keratolytic and anti-inflammatory activity in products against acne and dandruff for many years.
