LIPIGENINE biofunctional by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a moisturizing and nourishing agent. It is based on flax seed extract. It enhances the skin's natural lipidic synthesis in the stratum corneum. It enhances in vitro and ex vivo antimicrobial peptides (cathelicidin and beta defensins). It helps restore lipid content in the stratum corneum following detergent damage and overall beautify the skin. Lipigenine™ biofunctional contains phenoxyethanol and sodium benzoate preservative.

VEGETAL CERAMIDES BGG biofunctional is a rice extract clinically proven to improve skin moisturization. It is derived from a rice extract containing a mixture of sphingolipids (ceramides) and phospholipids. Ceramides play an important role in the structure and quality of the stratum corneum.

STRATIXYL is a biofunctional ingredient recommended for formulations targeting reinforcement of the skin barrier and moisturization, in particular those for consumers having dry, flaky skin. Additionally, it should be considered for aftershave products and products used after skin peels or dermabrasion, given that these actions may disrupt the skin’s natural barrier function.
