Based on 1,2-octanediol it can be used in a variety of cosmetic formulations. optiphen™ od multifunctional is well known and widely used in personal care applications due to its balanced way of boosting preservative activity and imparting emolliancy while being effective over a very wide pH range.

EUXYL™ K 500 PRESERVATIVE is a mix of formaldehyde donor and organic acids. It has strong broad-spectrum efficacy, effective in rinsing systems. It has vapour phase activity and is 100% water soluble. It reduces discolouration of organic acids. Effective pH<7 Max temperature 80ºC.
