Cosphaderm® CHA is the Hydroxamic Acid of caprylic acid. The natural organic acid is a chelator and antimicrobial with a strong efficacy against a broad spectrum of microorganisms, especially yeasts and molds. In contrast to other organic acids, Cosphaderm® CHA remains undissociated even at neutral pH and is therefore applicable over a broad pH range up to pH 7.5. The combination of chelating and antimicrobial properties in one molecule allows for use of Cosphaderm CHA for stabilization of cosmetic formulations against metal ion-induced oxidation and protection against microorganisms at the same time.

Cosphaderm® LA-T palm free is a multifunctional blend of natural levulinic acid and its sodium salt solubilized in water and glycerol. As a liquid and water-soluble product, it is conveniently applicable in all kinds of cosmetic formulations. This combination of a mild organic acid with a classical moisturizer unites skin conditioning and humectant properties.

Cosphaderm® PA-12 is a powder product consisting of the sodium salt of phytic acid, which acts as a strong natural chelating agent and is effective over a wide pH range. Derived from the soak water of corn bran, Cosphaderm® PA-12 is completely natural and COSMOS-approved. Like other chelators, sodium phytate can contribute to preservation strategies by sequestering physiologically important metal ions. Its chelating properties additionally provide antioxidative functionality by preventing the formation of reactive oxygen species while also reducing discoloration of cosmetic products.

Cosphaderm® Feel is a triglyceride oil suitable for skin and hair care as well as decorative cosmetic products, providing excellent skin feel. Made from 100% natural vegetable oils, it is free from palm oil and ECOCERT and is COSMOS-compliant. Due to its short-chain fatty acids, it is a polar oil with a high level of spreadability for good skin distribution. Used as a substitute for cyclomethicone D5, it can enable a silicone-free formulation and provide improved combability and shine in hair care products. Due to its polar and slightly viscous character, Cosphaderm Feel also has the ability to finely disperse UV filters and pigments.
