PLASDON K29/32 polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a rheology modifier. It is a stable, water-soluble polyvinylpyrrolidone that meets U.S., European and Japanese pharmacopoeia specifications for Povidone. It forms complexes with catechins, just as it does with many other compounds that cause discoloration of teeth. The polymer can be effectively used to bind and remove stains through hydrogen bonding with chemical compounds.

POLYPLASDONE™ XL by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a rheology modifier and tablet disintegrant. It is a non-ionic, water-insoluble but swellable crosslinked PVP homopolymer. Due to porous particle morphology, it acts as super disintegrants, providing rapid disintegration to denture-cleaning tablets.

PVP K-12 SOLUTION is a hygroscopic, amorphous polymer supplied as a clear aqueous solution. It can be plasticized with water and most common organic plasticizers. It is considered to be physiologically inert. This product is cross-linkable to a water insoluble, swellable material either in the course of vinylpyrrolidone polymerization, by addition of an appropriate multifunctional comonomer or by post-reaction, typically through hydrogen abstraction chemistry.

ALCOGUM L520 is a cationic compatible acid swellable rheology modifier supplied at 20% active solids in water. ALCOGUM L520 has been known as synthetic polymers in order to optimise the performance in a broad range of applications. ALCOGUM L520 can be used as a thickener and rheology modifier in industrial cleaning and adhesives.
