Cosphaderm LAAS is an aqueous mixture of levulinic acid, p-anisic acid and glycerin. Established as a highly effective combination of natural antimicrobial agents, additional skin conditioning and masking properties are provided by levulinic acid and p-anisic acid. Furthermore, the glycerin content in this preparation helps to support the hydration of the outer layer of the skin. The optimal pH range for Cosphaderm LAAS is between 5.0 and 5.5 to keep antimicrobial activity and solubility in perfect balance. This makes it a perfect choice for formulations at skin pH.

Cosphaderm® Absolute is an innovative humectant active blend which improves skin barrier function while simultaneously reducing the water activity of cosmetic formulations. With the three established humectants sodium lactate, betaine and propanediol in optimally balanced concentrations, Cosphaderm Absolute ensures excellent skin hydration. Additionally, lowering water activity and thus limiting water availability to microorganisms allows a reduction of the antimicrobials required for preservation. Thus, the natural blend combines skin barrier-enhancing properties with a unique antimicrobial mode of action, offering the possibility of an innovative, alternative preservation strategy that meets market needs and current trends in the cosmetics industry.

Cosphaderm® TOM is a 100% natural multifunctional, comprising pentylene glycol, glyceryl caprylate and glyceryl undecylenate. It is a liquid, easy-to-apply, colorless and nearly odorless blend with emollient and Humectant properties, suitable for a variety of cosmetic formulations. Cosphaderm TOM shows excellent broadband antimicrobial activity, which is further enhanced by a synergistic effect of its three components. The synergy results in a significant improvement of antimicrobial, and especially antifungal activity, when compared to the single ingredients. At the same time, pentylene glycol reduces the potential for emulsion destabilization caused by the glyceryl esters.

Cosphaderm® Propanediol natural palm free is a pure, transparent and colorless diol. Its polar character allows unlimited water-solubility. This property is highly relevant to its popular cosmetic use as a moisturizer and humectant. As a non-sticky alternative to glycerol, it can also be applied as an emollient or solvent. Produced by fermentation of corn and used as a substitute for propylene glycol, it is an ideal solution for creating formulations without petrochemical or palm oil ingredients. At the same time, it can help to protect a formulation from uncontrolled microbial growth by boosting the efficiency of the preservative system.
