MERISIST 56 is a modified starches are often used in foods that promote themselves as “instant” and in foods that might need a certain temperature to thicken (during cooking or freezing). MERISIST 56 Function: High viscosity, clarity, no setting, low temperature of swelling and freeze-thaw stability, gloss, long shelf life, resistance to heat, shear and acid. Application: Flexible thickener offered to apply in wide variety of food applications :Frozen food, fruit preparation and jams, dried mix (require cooking);hot process sauce (chili, oyster sauce etc.) and ketchup, canned and UHT soups, frozen soups; freeze thaw cream filling, yoghurts and fermented milks.
