Catexel Unveils WeylCare® CetylP: A High-Performance Emulsifier with a Luxurious Skin Feel
Catexel, a global supplier of specialty chemicals for the Home Care and Personal Care industries, offers WeylCare® CetylP as a multifunctional ingredient aligned with today's demands for sustainability, efficacy, and sensorial appeal. With a Natural Origin Index of 1 (according to ISO 16128), it is a solution built for both innovation and responsibility.
WeylCare® CetylP is a white to off-white oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier with an HLB of 9.6. It is suitable for a broad pH range (5–8) and forms a smooth, white cream that enhances the skin’s tactile experience. Remarkably efficient, it can emulsify up to 50% sunflower oil at just 1% usage level, giving formulators greater flexibility in creating high-oil phase systems.
Certified by COSMOS and NaTRUE and compliant with Halal and RSPO standards, WeylCare® CetylP is palm-based and ideal for natural and clean beauty formulations.
More than just a sensory enhancer, WeylCare® CetylP offers excellent stability in high-pigment formulations and is compatible with a wide range of active ingredients. Its versatility extends to various product categories, including skin care, sun care, hair and body care, and color cosmetics such as BB, CC, and DD creams. It also works well with both organic and mineral UV filters, making it a valuable tool in the development of sun protection and make-up products with transfer resistance, sweat resistance, and improved coverage.
