Methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose BCR100000 is a uniformly efficient non-ionic water-soluble polymer synthesized through a two-step process. The first step involves synthesizing hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), followed by further etherification to produce methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose (MHEC). It combines the advantages of good water retention and leveling properties of HEC with good storage stability of methyl cellulose. Meanwhile, BCR100000 can only be dissolved in cold water, eliminating the need to dissolve it in hot water before adding like HPMC. It can be made into an aqueous solution before use, avoiding cumbersome processes and instability of aqueous solutions during its storage.
