Epotec YDH 184 is diglycidyl ester of hexahydrophthalic anhydride. Due to the cyclic ring of hexahydrophthalic anhydride this resin is expected to give good resistance to ultraviolet light and weathering which is a limitation when it comes to standard bisphenol-A based epoxy resins. This also opens doors for cycloaliphatic epoxy resin epotec YDH 184 for use in outdoor coating applications where it is expected to give better non-yellowing characteristics and chalking resistance. The choice of curing agent also plays an important role in getting better performing formulations.

Epotec® RD 107 is a low-viscosity, aliphatic di-epoxide compound based on 1,6-hexanediol, serving as a reactive diluent for high-viscosity epoxy resins. Epotec RD 119LE is a diglcyidyl ether of polypropylene glycol used as a low viscosity epoxy resin. Epotec RD 119LE can act as flexibilizer and reactive diluents due to its low viscosity and high flexibility. Epotec RD 119LE is compatible with epoxy resin in all compositions. When blended with conventional epoxy resin, Epotec RD 119LE imparts flexibility, increases elongation, improves impact resistance and reduces viscosity of the blended system. Epotec RD 119LE is suitable for producing both solvents based as well as water-based epoxy systems.

Epotec RD 103 is a low viscosity, aliphatic di-epoxide compound based on 1,4-butane diol. It is intended for use as a reactive diluent for high viscosity epoxy resins. Epotec RD 103 is compatible in all concentrations with all common epoxy resins. These resin/diluent blends can be cured using variety of curing agents. The di-functionality of epotec RD 103 helps to produce formulations with improved toughness. The di-fuctionality of epotec RD 103 also helps in retaining the chemical resistance characteristics of the system to a large extent.
