HALOX® 630 is a liquid organic corrosion inhibitor for solvent based protective coatings on metal surfaces. HALOX® 630 may use in solvent-borne clear or pigmented coatings.
HALOX® XTAIN® L-44 is a very effective liquid tannin stain-blocking additive that provides high performance and good compatibility in most water based coating systems. Excellent tannin stain blocking properties can be achieved with HALOX® XTAIN® L-44 without the need for zinc oxide which is required to achieve performance by most tannin blocking polymers on the market today. Since HALOX® XTAIN® L-44 eliminates the need for zinc oxide without sacrificing performance, improved package stability and shelf life of the coating system will usually result.
HALOX® RC-980 is an organic additive designed to convert red rust to a black iron oxide. It can be used in slightly acidic waterborne vinyl or PVDC binders applied to rusted steel substrates. It converts the rust within minutes of the coating application and forms a black iron oxide barrier which can further be top-coated with water or solvent-based paints. It does not contain tannic acid, oxime chelates, phosphates or phosphoric acid.
HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 is used in the manufacture of water-base protective coatings as an effective liquid additive for inhibition of flash rust and in-can rusting. Testing has shown that HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 is highly effective at relatively low loading levels as compared to other flash and in-can rust inhibitors. HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 has demonstrated excellent flash rust inhibitive performance on various metal substrates ranging from iron, steel, and galvanized iron to galvalume and zincalume. Evaluations have shown HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 to be effective for inhibiting in-can rusting in lined and unlined metal containers. HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 is compatible with a variety of latices without causing film sensitivity or package stability problems that can occur with other flash rust additives. HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 is also an effective additive for stabilizing metal substrates when using the water-blasting method of surface restoration. HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 is easy to use and can be incorporated at any stage of coating manufacture. HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 can also be easily and effectively post added to any coating system; however, as with any additive, compatibility should be checked prior to use.
