Cosphaderm® AS is an organic acid with multifunctional properties. Due to its gentle and pleasant scent, Cosphaderm AS can be used as a masking agent to cover undesired odors from other ingredients. Anisic acid also provides strong antimicrobial efficacy at pH values below 6.0, especially against yeasts and molds.

Cosphaderm® Pentiol GL is a pure, transparent, colorless and odorless glycol. Two vicinal OH-groups and a short carbon chain allow unlimited water-solubility. This property is strongly related to its most common cosmetic use as a moisturizer and Humectant for both skin care and hair care formulations. Static light scattering experiments have shown that Cosphaderm Pentiol GL can also be used to stabilize o/w emulsions by droplet size reduction. Another core property of pentylene glycol is its pH-independent antimicrobial activity. It further shows remarkable synergistic effects in combination with other antimicrobial substances, making it possible to minimize the total amount of combined preserving agents.

Cosphaderm® Octiol is a pure and colorless glycol. It is used as a moisturizer and Humectant for both skin care and hair care formulations. Another property of caprylyl glycol is its pH-independent antimicrobial activity. It further shows remarkable synergistic effects in combination with other antimicrobial substances, making it possible to minimize the total amount of combined preserving agents.

Cosphaderm® Hexiol natural is a pure, transparent, colourless and odourless diol of natural origin. Two vicinal OH-groups and a short carbon chain allow unlimited water-solubility. This property is strongly relevant to its most common cosmetic use as a moisturizer and humectant for both skin and hair care formulations. Static light scattering experiments have shown that Cosphaderm Hexiol natural can also be used to stabilize o/w emulsions by droplet size reduction.
