1070 MALTRITE BLACK is a Black Dry Malted Barley Extract. Dry grains heat treated to extract sweeteners to produce syrup. Products are 77% to 82% solids or above, not supporting pathogen growth. pH 4-6 and Aw 0.2-0.82. The product is heat treated at 180* F for two hours for control of pathogenic microorganisms. It is filtered before filling for removal of any foreign material.
