It further shows remarkable synergistic effects in combination with other antimicrobial substances, making it possible to minimize the total amount of combined preserving agents.

Cosphaderm® GeMix is a multifunctional blend of glyceryl caprylate and glyceryl undecylenate. Produced from natural sources, it is a biodegradable blend with emollient, emulsifying, moisturizing, skin and hair conditioning as well as re-fatting properties. Cosphaderm GeMix combines the additional antimicrobial properties of both ingredients in one raw material. Glyceryl caprylate provides a strong antimicrobial efficiency against bacteria and yeasts whereas glyceryl undecylenate shows great efficiency against gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and molds. Combination of both ingredients leads to full spectrum microbial protection in a pH range from 3.5 to 7.5.
