LIPOXOL 300 MED In film coatings, solid grades of polyethylene glycol can be used alone for the film-coating of tablets or can be useful as hydrophilic polishing materials. Solid grades are also widely used as plasticizers in conjunction with film-forming polymers. The presence of polyethylene glycols in film coats, especially of liquid grades, tends to increase their water permeability and may reduce protection against low pH in enteric-coating films. Polyethylene glycols are useful as plasticizers in microencapsulated products to avoid rupture of the coating film when the microcapsules are compressed into tablets.

LIPOXOL 1000 MED Polyethlylenglycol Medical Grade: Used in medication to treat constipation in children and adults. It is also used to empty the bowels before a colonoscopy. METHYL SALICYLATE BP for use as an animal repellent (to repel dogs and cats from flower gardens); insect repellant. Also used to treat minor aches and pains of the muscles/joints (e.g. Arthritis, backache, sprains). For acute joint and muscular pain, methyl salicylate is used as a rubefacient and analgesic in deep heating liniments. It is used as a flavoring agent in chewing gums and mints in small concentrations and added as antiseptic in mouthwash solutions.

PERMETHRIN

PERMETHRIN Technical (25:75 ; 40:60) is an insecticide; it is a synthetic pyrethroid and neurotoxin. Permethrin affects the neuronal membrane by blocking the movement of sodium ions from outside to inside the neuronal cell membrane thereby disrupting the sodium channel current that regulates the polarization of the membrane. This leads to delayed repolarization and subsequent paralysis of the nervous system. Permethrin is used to eradicate parasites such as head lice, ticks and scabies from humans and animals.
