VIALKYD AY 402/50X is an extremely fast initial and through drying. Excellent recoatability at any time. Excellent adhesion to steel and aluminium. VIALKYD AY 402/50X is an air-drying acrylic modified phthalic resin with specific properties owing to additional modification with isocyantes. VIALKYD AY 402 is primarily used sole binder in the formulation of anticorrosive primers, and putties and for air drying and forced drying industrial enamels and machinery paints. Anticorrosive automobile primers Primers based on VIALKYD AY 402 show extremely rapid set and through drying, excellent recoatability at any time with VIALKYD AY 402 or other paints containing aggressive solvents. The compatibility with basic pigments affords formulation of zinc chromate primers and primer fillers with excellent perfomance, particularly in terms of superior corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and water resistance. It is also possible to formulate zinc chromate free primers on base of zinc phosphate.Spraying fillers and spraying putties VIALKYD AY 402, in spray putties and fillers, exhibits quick drying and thus quick sanding and excellent adhesion to steel and aluminium. VIALKYD AY 402 has excellent recoatability and gives very good surface without lifting. Industrial paints In the formulation of industrial and machinery paints, with adequate pigmentation VIALKYD AY 402 affords radiant gloss, extremely rapid drying, excellent adhesion to steel and non-ferrous metals. The paints can be forced-dried at 60 - 100 °C. With curing temperatures of from 60 °C upwards no driers are required.

Single binder in wood, industrial and floor finishes. Combinations with other long oil alkyds for improved drying and resistance. VIALKYD TO 608 is an oil-modified polyurethane resin which doesn't contain free isocyanate and is characterized by rapid initial and through-drying and high resistance to water after appropriate drying. It is used as single binder in wood, floor and industrial finishes and in primers. In combination with long-oil alkyd resins its drying properties are considerably improved. Addition of up to 30 % of VIALKYD TO 608 to other long-oil alkyd resins does not impair their respective outdoor performance. Wood and industrial finishes Rapid drying and high resistance to chemicals and water are the most remarkable characteristics of VIALKYD TO 608. Finishes on the basis of VIALKYD TO 608 are readily brushable, display excellent flow properties and yield films of high hardness already after short drying. Combinations of VIALKYD TO 608 with other resins, e. g. VIALKYD AF 764 produce interesting results. Initial and through drying are considerably improved. The good weather resistance and brushability of VIALKYD AM 764 is not impaired in a 70 : 30 (solids content) blend of VIALKYD AM 764 and TO 608. VIALKYD TO 608 is also suitable for forced drying up to 70 °C. Floor finishes On account of its good drying properties and abrasion resistance VIALKYD TO 608 lends itself very well to the manufacture of floor finishes. Its high gloss films provide good surface protection for floors exposed to heavy wear

VIALKYD AC 290/70MPAC has an excellent compatibility characteristics with alkyd stoving paints, thermosetting acrylic paints, NC-lacquers, acid curing enamels, alkyd- or acrylic-isocyanate enamels. Grinding resin for pigment pastes. VIALKYD AC 290 has been designed as grinding resin in the formulation of pigment pastes which have full compatibility with alkyd stoving paints, thermosetting acrylic paints, nitrocellulose enamels and acid curing enamels, alkyd- or acrylics- polyiscoyanate combinations. The pastes can be reduced with the respertive resins and give paints with the performance of irrelevant modified basic paint properties. VIALKYD AC 290 has a balanced functionality and is fully integrated into the cured film. Therefore, it must be fully considered as resin component for reaction with amine resins, polyisocyanates, nitrocellulose systems and acid curing systems. Up to a resin proportion of 30 % of VIALKYD AC 290, the performance of the binder resin is not influenced adversely. VIALKYD AC 290 shows yellowing resistance up to 30 min / 200 °C and acts up favourably to top quality alkyd resins. Solvent resistance is not adversely affected. At low curing temperatures, VIALKYD AC 290 shows good crosslinking and is thus also suitable for quick stoving 80 °C enamels. Owing to the excellent performance of VIALKYD AC 290 in a variety of paint formulations and due to the fact that VIALKYD AC 290 does not subdue the characteristics of the main binder, paint preparation can be substantially rationalized with this new grinding medium.

VIALKYD AM 764/70WS has an extremely good resistance to weather and water. Easy to brush, high build. Radiant brilliance, good gloss retention. Exterior wood paints, and wood stains. Clear varnishes, yacht varnishes. Anticorrosive systems. VIALKYD AM 764 is designed as sole binder for the formulation of top grade wood enamels and stains. High build trade paints can be produced from VIALKYD AM 764 in conjunction with non-yellowing alkyds. Clear varnishes and glazes (exterior wood stains). VIALKYD AM 764 excels in weather resistance and thus recommends itself as sole binder for clear varnishes, wood stains and glazes. Furthermore, VIALKYD AM 764 shows excellent wood penetration and big ease of application. Clear varnishes on VIALKYD AM 764 exhibit good gloss retention and have no tendency to cracking, owing to durable flexibility. Yacht varnishes Besides superior weather resistance VIALKYD AM 764 exhibits excellent water resistance. These properties allow the formulation of varnishes subject to continued impact of UV-light and water, such as for yachts and other boats. Trade paints and industrial paints VIALKYD AM 764 imparts excellent build and gloss to trade paints. Owing to its yellowing tendency, for white paints it is used in conjunction with non-yellowing alkyd resins. As combination partner VIALKYD AM 764 markedly improves brushability and flow. Metal primers and finishes can be also formulated from VIALKYD AM 764. These paints are used in cases where requirements regarding weather resistance and gloss retention are high.
