It has a function of anit-caking, freeflow and carrying agent for food/ feed. High surface area and high absorption capacity make this product effective. It enable homogeneous blending with more consistent and uniform fill weight, improve resistance to capping, lamination and sticking.

SYLOID® 244 F Food and Cosmetics Additive is a synthetic amorphous silica appearing as a white free flowing powder. It has a very high purity and is taste and odor-free. It meets the purity requirements for food additives as published in the latest edition of the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC), Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 for E 551 and D325 of Japanese Standards. Furthermore, it complies with the demands for food supplements according to Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 on contaminants in foodstuff and for feed additives pursuant to Directive 2002/32/EC on undesirable substances in animal feed. SYLOID® 244 FP meets the requirements of the monograph for silicon dioxide as stated in the latest USP/NF and Japanese Pharmaceutical Excipients(JPE) editions. The use of fumed silica as an excipient ingredient for pharmaceutical formulations, particularly in tablets and as a carrier for liquids is well known. However, compared with fumed silica, SYLOID® 244 FP silica is larger in particle size and has a higher density. This translates into a product that is much less dusty than fumed and is easier to handle and to incorporate into your formulation.
