It serves as a highly efficient matting agent for coatings and inks, producing uniform films while reducing gloss. The 400 treated series, known for high oil absorption and low bulk density, is used in resin and water-based paints, offering improved settling and mar resistance. In adhesive applications, SYLYSIA 456F increases adhesion strength, durability, and stabilizes viscosity, preventing stickiness and separation.

SYLYSIA® 390 is a synthetically produced, amorphous, and micronized silica gel known for its high porosity and chemical purity. Produced by Fuji Silysia Chemical in Greenville, NC, it is designed to be a highly efficient matting agent that reduces gloss in coatings while producing uniform films. It offers superior anti-blocking performance during plastic film and sheeting manufacturing, as well as in high-speed printing. SYLYSIA enhances adhesion and thickening in adhesive applications, stabilizing viscosity for longer shelf life. It also improves inkjet performance and serves as an anti-blocking agent in various types of paper.
