Polyethylene Glycol PEG400 is non-toxic, odorless, neutral, non-volatile, and non-irritating as a solvent and cosolvent. PEG400 is widely compatible with various solvents and recommended as a formulation aid and chemical intermediate for use in cosmetic formulations, water soluble lubricants, mold release agents, antistatic agents, humectants, plasticizers, carriers for dyes, wood treatment, as co-solvent and solubilizing aid in detergent and agrochemical formulations and synthesis of esters.
