POLYSTEP HPE is a phosphate ester functional monomer, made from mono and di-esters of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), used in emulsion polymerization. It enhances coating properties in architectural and industrial direct-to-metal (DTM) applications at typical levels of 1-4% on total monomer content. Key benefits include improved metal adhesion, better pigment dispersion (e.g., TiO₂), enhanced chemical resistance, and corrosion resistance.

STEPFAC™ 8170-U is an phosphate ester of an alkylphenoxy polyethoxyethanol. It is utilized in high electrolyte systems, as a compatibility agent in liquid fertilizer systems, and it can be incorporated into many emulsifier blends.

STEPSPERSE® 163P is a waterborne anionic polymeric dispersant tailored for iron oxide pigments. It efficiently disperses without requiring wetting agents. Typical usage ranges from 2-4% solids relative to pigment weight, and a ladder study is recommended to establish optimal dosages.
