SYLOID® AQ 800 silica is an additive for premium performance coating, especially for wood. It is a modified matting agent that enables the formulation of more environmentally friendly waterborne wood coatings with high chemical resistance and transparency that produce natural-looking, deep matte finishes on wood furniture, cabinets, and floors. Unlike typical silica matting agents, Grace’s SYLOID® AQ silicas have unique properties that achieve a highly matted surface with excellent chemical resistance, excellent clarity, and good scratch and metal marking resistance. In addition, SYLOID® AQ silicas are easier to disperse and produce less dusting than typical silica matting agent.

SYLOID® 234 Matting Agent is an amorphous silica appearing as white free flowing powder. SYLOID® 234 is an inorganically treated, medium porosity matting agent with appropriate matting efficiency and dispersibility. After adequate dispersion it imparts excellent surface properties to the coating film.

SYLOID® 74C Matting Agent is a synthetic amorphous silica appearing as white free flowing powder. SYLOID®　74C Matting Agent is an untreated, relatively coarse, medium porosity matting agent with appropriate matting efficiency and dispersibility and a favourable gloss/sheen ratio.

Key Application: Coil coatings and pigmented air drying and baking enamels, water- and solvent-based.

SYLOID® A1215 Multifunctional Silica is a synthetic amorphous silica appearing as white free flowing powder.

Key Application: Architectural Interior & Architectural Exterior.

SYLOID®A1215 is a highly effective matting agents used in architectural paint formulations where performance and smooth feel are desirable in a low gloss paint system.
