N-HANCE BF 17 Cationic Guar by Ashland Specialty Chemical is a thickener and conditioning agent. It is boron-free & cross-linked with glyoxal which differentiates it from typical cationic guars. This quaternary polymer is a medium-cationic-substitution, high-molecular-weight polymer which is substantive to anionic surfaces such as skin and hair. N-Hance™ BF-17 Cationic Guar is designed for use in shampoos and body washes. Upon dilution of the surfactants with water, the cationic guar will complex with the anionic surfactants. The complex will deposit cosmetically effective levels of ingredients such as silicone or emollient oils onto hair and skin.

N HANCE 3215 by Ashland Specialty Chemical is a conditioning and thickener. It is compatible with most anionic surafactants. It imparts soft and luxurious afterfeel to the skin. It develops foam with better stability, lather and skin lubricating properties. N-Hance™ 3215 Cationic Guar is used in hair care products like shampoos, skin care products like soaps, hand-, body and facial emulsions and shaving creams. This high cationic substitution, high molecular weight polymer is substantive to anionic surfaces like skin and hair.
