KahlWax 2442 Carnauba is a light yellow colored wax obtained from young leaves of the Brazilian palm tree Copernicia Cerifera. It is very hard, creates high gloss, and has a good oil binding capacity. KahlWax 2442 Carnauba is registered as food additive (E903) and therefore compliant with EC regulation no. 231/2012.

KahlWax 6698 Orange is a 1:1 blend of orange peel wax and berry wax. Orange peel wax is obtained from cold pressed orange oil by means of a physical concentration process. KahlWax 6698 Orange is perfectly suited for hair and skin care products, as it conditions, provides smoothness and shine. It is also recommended for color cosmetic formulations, where it enhances pay-off, gloss, and color brilliance.

KahlWax 6279L Myrica is derived from berry fruit peels of the Myrica Pubescens tree native in Latin America. The wax is very unique as it has no double bounds and is rather a naturally “hydrogenated” oil but solid. Due to its chemical structure it is very stable against oxidation. Very untypical is the low melting point combined with an exceptional hardness which results in excellent spreadability. KahlWax 6279L Myrica reduces stickiness of O/W emulsions and oleogels, stabilizes stick preparations, and has excellent properties for hair styling products. In combination with fatty alcohols it can also be used in hair conditioners.

KahlWax 6290 Berry is a pale wax derived from berry fruit peels of the Rhus Verniciflua tree that consists of a high amount of glycerol ester of C16-18 fatty acid. Because a significant part of it melts at temperatures < 30 °C, it feels very silky and soft, comparable to a classic emollient. In addition, KahlWax 6290 Berry produces very soft textures and improves the sensory characteristics of O/W emulsions. It is an excellent additive for oleogels, suitable for lip gloss formulations and mascaras, and works as an outstanding pay-off enhancer in lipsticks. Although it is soft, KahlWax 6290 Berry improves break resistance in pencil preparations.
