HALOX® ZINC PHOSPHATE is a white, nonrefractive, corrosion inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is generically identified as zinc phosphate-dihydrate. HALOX® ZINC PHOSPHATE exhibits a narrow particle size distribution: upper particle size limit of 10 microns, mean particle size 5 microns. This pigment has a high degree of versatility. It is a standard corrosion inhibitor for most high-performance resin systems such as types of vinyl, chlorinated rubbers, and epoxies. It is recommended for high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. HALOX® ZINC PHOSPHATE is also recommended for thin film applications (1 mil or 25 microns). HALOX® ZINC PHOSPHATE is compliant to ASTM D 6280-98 Specification for Zinc Phosphate Pigment Type I. Recommended loading levels range from 5-15% based on total formula weight.
HALOX® 430 JM is a non-toxic, heavy metal-free anti-corrosive pigment designed for use in waterborne and solventborne protective coating systems. HALOX® 430 JM is based on a unique synergy between an ion scavenging and passivation mechanism. It is recommended for use in long-term applications where the use of heavy metals, such as zinc, strontium, barium, molybdenum, and chromate, is of concern. The jet-milled feature offers significant advantages: Thin film applications (<10 microns, Easier to disperse, Cleaner grinds and Improved efficiency.
