COSPHADERM E NGM

Lysolecithin

Cosphaderm® E NGM is a fluid lysolecithin derived from soybeans. Lysolecithin is an enzymatically modified derivative of lecithin from which one fatty acid has been removed. This results in increased emulsifying and dispersion properties in aqueous media leading to greater water-binding capacity. Due to an enhanced hydrophilic character, lysolecithins are ideal co-emulsifiers for o/w emulsions with high water content. Beyond the co-emulsifier function, lysolecithin contributes to better hair combability in conditioners and a light and silky skin sensation in leave-on formulations.

This combination of a mild organic acid with a classical moisturizer unites skin conditioning and humectant properties. COSPHADERM SB-75H is a fractionated and hydrogenated, de-oiled soybean lecithin in powdered shape (PC content min 70 %). The hydrogenation of double bonds in the fatty acids results in a higher stability towards destructive oxidation and much better emulsifying and dispersion properties in aqueous media compared to common fractionated lecithin.
