It inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi pH independently. Cosphaderm® Absolute is an innovative humectant active blend which improves skin barrier function while simultaneously reducing the water activity of cosmetic formulations. With the three established humectants sodium lactate, betaine and propanediol in optimally balanced concentrations, Cosphaderm Absolute ensures excellent skin hydration. Additionally, lowering water activity and thus limiting water availability to microorganisms allows a reduction of the antimicrobials required for preservation. Cosphaderm® VBE is a skin-warming active ingredient synthetically derived from vanillin and reminiscent of its characteristic scent.
