TAMARIND EXTRACT: This brown-red concentrate is made from the tart pulp inside the tamarind pod. It has a sticky, date-like consistency and distinctively tart citrus and fruity flavours. This product gives a rich, deep sourness with a distinct underlying sweetness. It is a very good addition to barbecue marinades and sauces.
