HEXAFLUOROPROPYLENE OXIDE
HFPO is a leading intermediate in production of some notable organic-fluorine materials. Its main use is to synthesize perfluoroacetone, perfluoro-ether lubricating oil and a series of perfluoro-alkyl-vinyl ethers, e.g. PSVE, PFVE, PMVE, which are used as co-monomers with TFE to prepare perfluorinated sulfonyl fluoride resin, melt-processing PTFE resin and perfluorinated ether elastomer.
