This property allows for substances to flow easily around 1,3 Butylene Glycol without the substance reacting. This way 1,3 Butylene Glycol gives strength and durability to the Resin/Plasticizer. The major part of 1,3 Butylene Glycol is used as an intermediate for the production of plasticizers for polymers used. It is also used for the production of polyester resins, acrylates , and polyurethanes. In addition, 1,3 Butylene Glycol is a good drying agent that can be used in cosmetics.
